This package does not appear to use the debhelper build system helper.
It is recommended that packages use such tools as they avoid a large
number of common errors and tedious boilerplate, permit distribution-wide
changes to packages, reduce the "bus factor" and reduce barriers to entry
from external contributors.

details.
