2001_disable-splash-screen.patch | [PATCH] lomiri-clock-app.desktop.in.in: Disable splash screen The transition from the splash window to the real app's window, together with the app using minimum{Width,Height}, causes the window to move further up-right than where it should be, and breaks the tracking of the window's last position when re-launching the app. On first launch, with the intended location being neatly in the top-right of the desktop, this causes the app's top bar to jump behind the top bar of the shell, or potentially off-screen altogether, making it awkward to get the app manageable again. And unless the window is moved closer towards the middle of the screen, and its size gets changed so the new location is registered somewhat-properly, it will always launch off-screen. To work around this, disable the splash screen, which seems to make these issues go away. |
