Debian Patches

Status for apache-log4j2/2.26.1-1

Patch Description Author Forwarded Bugs Origin Last update
01-disable-kafka-appender.patch Disable the Kafka appender (not yet in Debian) Emmanuel Bourg <ebourg@apache.org> not-needed 2026-09-28
02-restore-compiler-release-property.patch Set default maven.compiler.release property This is set by the external parent POM for upstream builds.
Set it here because setting it in debian/maven.properties would override
the value in the java9 submodules.
tony mancill <tmancill@debian.org> not-needed 2026-09-28
04-drop-dummy-resources-plugin-deps.patch Remove dummy/dependabot maven-resources-plugin dependencies tony mancill <tmancill@debian.org> not-needed 2026-09-28
05-log4j-core-commons-lang3-dependency.patch Add commons-lang3 dependency to log4j-core DatePatternConverter unconditionally imports
org.apache.commons.lang3.time.FastDateFormat, but log4j-core/pom.xml
does not declare a dependency on commons-lang3. (It is declared as
managed, not required, in log4j-parent).
tony mancill <tmancill@debian.org> not-needed 2026-09-26
06-drop-baselineignore-package-annotation.patch Drop package-level @BaselineIgnore annotation The Debian bnd version (5.3.0) @BaselineIgnore doesn't allow a PACKAGE target,
so javac rejects this usage. Upstream builds against 7.1.0, so this patch can
be removed when we update.
.
This is a baseline-tooling directive with no runtime effect and Debian doesn't
run the bnd baseline check anyway.

07-skip-log4j-docgen-processor.patch Skip log4j-docgen annotation processor DescriptorGenerator (generates XML doc descriptors) needs the
unpackaged log4j-docgen artifact. Drop it from the
generate-plugin-descriptors execution but keep PluginProcessor, which
generates the functionally required Log4j2Plugins.dat.
