0002-Restore-fork-multiprocessing-context-for-package-run.patch Restore fork multiprocessing context for package runner
This restores the pre-3.14 behavior some isolation tests rely on
where the mocked SoftwareManager from the parent process is inherited
by the child. Under Python 3.14’s new forkserver default, the child
starts fresh, misses the mock, calls the real package manager, and
returns error which is unwanted.

A more future-proof solution would not require switching back to
the fork context but this will need a greater re-design of the
package runner and how it is being tested (its contracted behavior).

0003-core-replace-pkg_resources-with-importlib.metadata.patch core: replace pkg_resources with importlib.metadata
pkg_resources (from setuptools) is no longer bundled in Python 3.15+
and Fedora Rawhide does not pre-install it, causing an import failure.

Replace with importlib.metadata from the stdlib (available since
Python 3.8), with a compatibility guard for the dict-style API
on Python 3.8/3.9 vs the SelectableGroups API on Python 3.10+.
