| strip-glyphs | Drop Latin mark attachment classes from the source fonts The Sahel SFDs declare GDEF mark attachment classes (MarkClass-1 .. MarkClass-4) whose members are exclusively Latin/Open Sans combining glyphs (gravecomb, acutecomb, uni0307, uni0327, ...). Those glyphs are not part of the Sahel sources: upstream expects them to be merged in from the Open Sans source, which is neither shipped nor downloaded for the Debian build. . FontForge therefore writes @MarkClass1 .. @MarkClass4 definitions into the generated features.fea that reference glyphs missing from the font, and fontmake then refuses to build the variable font ("glyph names referenced but are missing from the glyph set"). . Drop the dangling classes in the sources instead of deleting lines from the generated features.fea, so the reason for the change is obvious. No lookup uses these classes, so removing them does not affect layout. |

| strip-woff | Remove the woff2 making line from makevariable script By default, the script to make variable font tries to make woff2 fonts for web from the ttf file of variable font. This can be safely removed since there would be no woff2 font in the Debian package. |

| check-compatibility | Skip compatibility check New fontmake checks for compatibility check which we don't want. Skipping this in debian since it can not be forwarded to original. |
