| 0001-preserve-reference-font-while-hinting.patch | Write hinted fonts separately before replacing the input The Regular and Italic inputs are also passed to ttfautohint as reference fonts. ttfautohint-py 0.6.1 opens its output path before starting the CLI, so using that same path truncates the reference before it can be read. This causes the initial build to fail while rehinting UbuntuSans-Italic. Write the output to a temporary directory on the same filesystem, then replace the input only after hinting succeeds. This preserves the upstream hinting options and leaves the reference readable throughout the operation. |
