| reject-unsupported-os_hash_algo-with-HTTP-400.patch | Reject an unsupported os_hash_algo with an explicit HTTP 400 Python 3.15 changed the exception raised by hashlib.new() for unknown algorithms to _hashlib.UnsupportedDigestmodError (from the OpenSSL backend), which is no longer a ValueError. The add_location API relied on add_location()'s blanket "except ValueError" to turn the failure of hashlib.new(hash_algo) into an HTTP 400, so a bogus os_hash_algo (as exercised by the unit and functional tests) now escapes and breaks the build. Validate the requested algorithm against hashlib.algorithms_available and raise the HTTP 400 explicitly instead. |
