Go 1.27 changed the compress/gzip output for empty/near-empty input,
causing TestMessageEncoding and TestRecordBatchEncoding to fail with
byte-mismatch errors. The production code is unaffected (encode/decode
round-trips correctly); only the hardcoded expected bytes in test
fixtures are stale.

Add version-guarded expected byte arrays for Go >= 1.27, following the
same pattern upstream used historically for Go 1.8/1.9 transitions
(commits 5c221976, 48adab0f). Upstream ultimately resolved this class
of issue by switching to klauspost/compress/gzip (commit d2dba29e,
