Patch Description Author Forwarded Bugs Origin Last update
python-backend-drop-build-rpath.patch keep the build tree rpath out of libtriton_python.so The superbuild ships libtriton_python.so with INSTALL(FILES ...), so cmake
never rewrites the rpath at install time and the installed library keeps the
build tree RUNPATH, an absolute path into the build directory
(obj-<triplet>/python_backend/_deps/repo-core-build). lintian reports it as
custom-library-search-path, and the directory does not exist on an installed
system anyway: the only thing the RUNPATH was helping to find is
libtritonserver.so, which kytensor-core installs into the default search path.

systemd-multi-user-target.patch enable the inference service under multi-user.target Use the regular target for system services rather than the default.target
alias, whose destination can change with the boot configuration.

systemd-managed-model-repository.patch use a model repository created by systemd The upstream model paths are supplied by openKylin model packages, which
are not available in Debian. Let systemd create /var/lib/kytensor/models
before starting the server so a standalone installation can start.

libevent-inherit-distro-cflags.patch let the bundled libevent build inherit the distribution C flags The libevent ExternalProject replaces CMAKE_C_FLAGS with a single warning
flag, which drops every flag coming from dpkg-buildflags: the hardening ones
and the CPPFLAGS ones that debhelper folds into CFLAGS. Append the warning
flag to the inherited value instead of replacing it.
.
The argument must be quoted, otherwise CMake interprets the spaces of the
flag list as list separators when it writes the initial cache file.

backends-install-to-usr-lib.patch install the tritonserver backends under /usr/lib instead of /opt The onnxruntime, llamacpp and python backends used to be installed into
/opt/tritonserver/backends. /opt is created by the base-files postinst and is
therefore not owned by any package in the dpkg database, while the directory
entry that debhelper adds to the .deb makes dpkg treat /opt as owned by the
backend package and remove it once it becomes empty on purge. piuparts then
fails with "After purging files have disappeared: /opt/".
.
Install into /usr/lib/tritonserver/backends instead: /usr/lib is shipped by
base-files and shared with many other packages, so purging only drops the
tritonserver subtree that did not exist before the installation.
.
triton_python_backend_stub is installed with PROGRAMS rather than FILES so
that it keeps the executable bit, which makes the postinst chmod superfluous.
The python backend resolves both the stub and triton_python_backend_utils.py
relative to the backend directory reported by the core, so it needs no change
of its own.

default-backend-dir-usr-lib.patch default backend directory follows the packaged install location The server binary defaults --backend-directory to /opt/tritonserver/backends,
which no longer holds anything now that the backends are installed under
/usr/lib/tritonserver/backends. The systemd unit does not pass the flag, so
this default is what the packaged server actually uses, and the core forwards
it to every backend through the "backend-directory" cmdline setting, which is
how the python backend locates triton_python_backend_stub and
triton_python_backend_utils.py.
.
The --backend-directory help text quoted the same stale default.
.
The repoagent and cache defaults are left untouched: no package installs those
directories, so their value does not affect the packaging.
