| declare-guava-dependency.patch | Declare the transitive Guava test dependency explicitly guava-testlib pulls Guava in with the type 'bundle', which Maven can only resolve when the maven-bundle-plugin is registered as a build extension. Commons Collections does not declare that plugin itself, so the type is unknown at resolution time and the build fails. Declaring the dependency directly with the type 'jar' takes precedence over the transitive one. |

| drop-junit-pioneer-dependency.patch | Replace the JUnit Pioneer @DefaultTimeZone annotation JUnit Pioneer is not packaged in Debian and is used by one test only, to pin the default time zone to GMT. The test builds a Date from local time fields and compares it with an absolute epoch value, so it fails outside GMT. Setting and restoring the time zone in the test itself keeps the check meaningful without the dependency. |
