| 0003-Interop-with-Debian-ESM-only-modules.patch | adapt to the module flavours shipped by Debian is-unicode-supported 2 is ESM only, so require() yields a namespace, while strip-json-comments 4 and is-path-inside 3 are CommonJS and export the function itself, without a "default" property. |

| 0004-Use-Debian-s-find-up-instead-of-find-up-simple.patch | use find-up instead of find-up-simple find-up-simple is not packaged in Debian. Upstream switched to it only to work around ERR_PACKAGE_PATH_NOT_EXPORTED raised by unicorn-magic, a dependency of find-up 8; Debian ships find-up 6, which has a real CJS entry point and no such dependency. Its findUpSync() is API-compatible, so mocha 11's original import is restored, along with the matching test mocks. The regression test for the find-up 8 bug is dropped, since it deliberately breaks find-up resolution. |
