| Patch | Description | Author | Forwarded | Bugs | Origin | Last update |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| exclude-examples-imports-tests.patch | Some third-party packages were deleted from examples/imports/ so tests that depend on those third-party packages are excluded | Israel Galadima <izzygaladima@gmail.com> | not-needed | 2023-08-07 | ||
| fix-makefile.patch | use emcc from debian, fix flags | Israel Galadima <izzygaladima@gmail.com>, Jérémy Lal <kapouer@melix.org> | not-needed | 2025-04-14 | ||
| exclude-debug-variant.patch | The DEBUG variant has some issues with emscripten version in Debian and is pretty much useless, so it is excluded from the build output and tests. | Israel Galadima <izzygaladima@gmail.com> | not-needed | 2023-08-07 | ||
| generate-cjs.patch | Generates cjs instead of esm | Israel Galadima <izzygaladima@gmail.com> | not-needed | 2023-08-07 | ||
| use-non-deprecated-emscripten-macro.patch | use __EMSCRIPTEN__ instead of the deprecated EMSCRIPTEN macro Emscripten 5.0.4 stopped defining the deprecated EMSCRIPTEN macro on the command line and moved it to emscripten.h (which quickjs does not include); __EMSCRIPTEN__, built into LLVM, is the documented replacement. . Without this, every emscripten-specific branch silently takes the wrong path. The build error is only the loudest symptom: js_def_malloc_usable_size() and def_malloc_funcs fall through to the generic branch and call malloc_usable_size(), which is not declared since <malloc.h> is only included for __linux__ (a macro emcc does not define either). The quieter regressions are CONFIG_ATOMICS and CONFIG_STACK_CHECK getting enabled, DIRECT_DISPATCH flipping to 1, and os.platform reporting "linux" instead of "js". |

| fix-emscripten-runtime-exports.patch | fix EXPORTED_RUNTIME_METHODS for emscripten >= 4.0.7 Emscripten 4.0.7 made two related changes: the standard memory views (HEAP8, HEAPU8, ...) are no longer exported on the module by default, and a symbol listed in EXPORTED_RUNTIME_METHODS that does not exist is now an error instead of a warning. . Add HEAPU8, the only view ts/memory.ts uses; without it toPointerArray() and newMutablePointerArray() throw "Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'buffer')" and roughly twenty tests fail. . Drop ___lsan_do_recoverable_leak_check, which now aborts the link. It is only defined when the leak sanitizer is on, i.e. in the DEBUG variant that Debian does not build (see exclude-debug-variant.patch); nothing on the JS side reads it, the leak check goes through the QTS_RecoverableLeakCheck wrapper. |
