| scandisk_only_descend_devices.patch | Don't recurse into non-device sysfs dirs when scanning devices During device discovery scansysfs() recursed into every subdirectory of a block device, including holders/, slaves/, queue/ and device/. For stacked devices (e.g. DRBD on top of LVM) the holders directory contains a symlink to the lower device, so recursing into it created a duplicate devnode with the same major/minor but the holders attribute set. The /dev paths (e.g. /dev/drbd0) then got attached to this bogus node, which is later dropped by the device filter, so the real device was never considered and "Heartbeat region could not be found" was reported. Only dive into directories that are themselves devices (i.e. have a "dev" attribute). |
