| octavia-agent-absolute-syslog-path.patch | Use an absolute path for the gunicorn syslog socket octavia/cmd/agent.py hardcodes gunicorn's syslog_addr as unix://run/rsyslog/octavia/log#dgram, missing the third slash: gunicorn's parse_syslog_address() strips the unix:// prefix and returns a RELATIVE path, which SysLogHandler resolves against the working directory. Upstream's diskimage-builder image works only by accident, because its unit has no WorkingDirectory= so the CWD defaults to /, while our pkgos-generated unit sets WorkingDirectory=~ (/root). Every syslog emit then fails with EBADF/ENOENT on /root/run/rsyslog/octavia/log, spamming the journal at boot and under load: CPython's SysLogHandler swallows the connect error at construction and retries forever on emit. Use the absolute unix:///run/rsyslog/octavia/log#dgram path. |

| doc-erd-switch-from-pydotplus-to-pydot.patch | Switch the octavia-doc ERD generation from pydotplus to pydot pydotplus is unmaintained (last release 2017) and its DOT parser is incompatible with pyparsing as found in unstable: parsing the ERD crashes with "TypeError: sequence item 0: expected str instance, ParseResults found" in pydotplus/parser.py parse_html(), making octavia-doc fail to build during override_dh_sphinxdoc. Switch to pydot, which is actively maintained and already in Build-Depends-Indep: its graph_from_dot_data() takes a str (drop the .encode('utf-8')) and returns a list of graphs. |
