| xdist-sort.patch | test: sort parametrized set values for pytest-xdist (#2599) | Joshua Gould <joshua-gould@users.noreply.github.com> | not-needed | upstream, https://github.com/scverse/anndata/commit/71dd36173496e6fdff3c29c84c5369737fa8d6a1 | 2026-08-12 | |
| suppress-names-are-not-unique-UserWarnings-in-tests.patch | Suppress "names are not unique" UserWarnings in tests The concat tests in tests/lazy/test_concat.py intentionally concatenate the same object twice, which triggers the UserWarning "Observation (or Variable) names are not unique. To make them unique…" on every call (~830 occurrences per test run). These warnings are expected behavior, do not indicate any defect, and merely clutter the dh_auto_test log. . Add the corresponding ignore entry to the filterwarnings list in [tool.pytest] of pyproject.toml. The regex pattern is taken verbatim from the existing filterwarnings_when_strict list, so the two lists stay consistent; the entry only takes effect in the regular (non-strict) test run, which previously showed the warning. . The filter string also matches the per-test marker already used upstream in tests/test_readwrite.py:833. No test asserts this warning via pytest.warns, so silencing it globally carries no risk of introducing DID NOT WARN failures. |
