Status for python-logfire/5.2.0-3
| Patch | Description | Author | Forwarded | Bugs | Origin | Last update |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| keep-django-settings-module-in-env.patch | Keep django settings module in env | Pieter Lenaerts <plenae@disroot.org> | not-needed | 2026-10-06 | ||
| disable_proxies_during_tests.patch | Disable proxies during tests Using apt-cache-ng breaks tests. Should not be forwarded. |
Pieter Lenaerts <plenae@disroot.org> | not-needed | 2026-10-18 | ||
| skip-git-service-version-tests.patch | Skip service-version tests that require a git checkout Without an explicit service version, logfire runs `git rev-parse HEAD` in the current working directory and uses the commit hash as service.version. These tests expect that auto-detected value (or check the git lookup itself). Debian builds and autopkgtests run in extracted source trees that have no .git, so the git lookup can never succeed and the tests cannot pass. Skip them with an explicit reason. |
Pieter Lenaerts <plenae@disroot.org> | not-needed | 2026-10-18 | ||
| support-old-protobuf-MessageToJson.patch | Support protobuf releases without always_print_fields_with_no_presence MessageToJson() only accepts always_print_fields_with_no_presence since protobuf 26 (Python package 5.26). Older releases, such as protobuf 3.21 in Debian unstable, call the same option including_default_value_fields and raise a TypeError on the new name, which breaks the JSON response of the OTLP forwarding code at runtime. Pick whichever keyword the installed MessageToJson() supports. Upstream declares protobuf >= 4.23.4 in pyproject.toml, but protobuf 4.x lacks the new keyword too, so if we forward this, then upstream will probably just bump the minimum version for protobuf up, which doesn't really help. Therefore, not forwarding. |
Pieter Lenaerts <plenae@disroot.org> | not-needed | 2026-10-18 | ||
| normalize-unknown-service-name-python3.patch | Normalize unknown_service:python3 service names in TestExporter When no service name is configured, the OpenTelemetry SDK sets service.name to "unknown_service:" followed by the name of the Python executable. The TestExporter normalizes that to "unknown_service" so snapshots are deterministic, but it only recognized "unknown_service:python", the executable name in upstream's virtualenvs. Debian's interpreter is python3, so every snapshot with resource attributes failed. Also normalize versioned executable names such as python3 and python3.14. |
Pieter Lenaerts <plenae@disroot.org> | not-needed | 2026-10-18 | ||
| tests-do-not-assume-uv-installed.patch | Do not assume uv is installed in the recommendation text tests test_get_recommendation_texts and test_get_recommendation_texts_httpx2_upgrade expect "uv add" install instructions first and only then monkeypatch is_uv_installed() to return False to check the "pip install" variant. The first half therefore depends on a uv executable being on PATH, which is not the case in Debian build environments. Monkeypatch is_uv_installed() to return True for the uv variant as well. |
Pieter Lenaerts <plenae@disroot.org> | not-needed | 2026-10-18 | ||
| skip-tests-needing-packages-not-in-debian.patch | Skip tests that need packages which are not in Debian yet These tests need SDKs that are not packaged in Debian (yet): litellm, pydantic-monty and the surrealdb SDK. Skip them with a reason naming the missing package, so they can be re-enabled when it gets packaged. Documentation examples are skipped individually through pytest.param marks, keyed by the example's path and line range. test_cli.py::test_inspect is skipped too: its snapshot lists the instrumentable packages installed in upstream's development environment. |
Pieter Lenaerts <plenae@disroot.org> | not-needed | 2026-10-18 | ||
| skip-llm-cost-tests-without-genai-prices.patch | Skip LLM cost tests when genai-prices is not installed logfire only sets the operation.cost attribute on OpenAI and Anthropic (including Anthropic on Bedrock) spans when the optional genai-prices package is installed, and many tests in test_openai.py, test_anthropic.py and test_anthropic_bedrock.py expect it. genai-prices is not packaged in Debian yet. Mark exactly the tests that expect operation.cost with a skipif on genai_prices being importable, so they run again once it is packaged. |
Pieter Lenaerts <plenae@disroot.org> | not-needed | 2026-10-18 | ||
| skip-anthropic-streamed-tool-arguments-test.patch | Skip the anthropic streamed tool arguments test With the anthropic SDK in Debian (1.9.0), test_streamed_tool_arguments finds the streamed tool call arguments recorded as {} instead of the parsed arguments. Upstream tests against anthropic 1.11. Skip the test until Debian has a newer anthropic. |
Pieter Lenaerts <plenae@disroot.org> | not-needed | 2026-10-18 | ||
| disable_pyarrow_if_unavailable.patch | Skip tests that need pyarrow if it's not importable Ref https://bugs.debian.org/1146431. Pyarrow is not there for py3.15 |
Pieter Lenaerts <plenae@disroot.org> | not-needed | 2026-11-02 |
