0004-Check-for-file-write-errors-when-dumping-partitions.patch | Check for file write errors when dumping partitions While dumping a large partition (see !20), my laptop ran out of space, but I didn't notice. This MR should help to detect this (and any other write errors as well). This change now aborts with an error message and makes the executable return with an error rc. Previous code would happily continue running (and showing progress until 100%) but silently ignore any write errors along the way. Tested by dumping to a file in a small tmpfs, which failed (as expected). |
